L’Olivier
Outstanding home from home – perfect
This apartment is the downstairs of a villa! It has a conventional French open plan kitchen, dining, living area – but with the add on of a study type area with a sofa bed if necessary. This room is cool in the heat, has everything you could wish for – and I am swapping my gas hob for an induction one asap! The master bedroom could be hired as a double or twin – it is huge and has so much space to store stuff – made us ashamed we had not brought more to put away! The second bedroom is a bunk bedded room which our 23 year old daughter used when she joined us – and was more than happy with it! There are 3 showers and 2 loos in the building and a laundry room – I love being able to come home with clean clothes and not a bag full of dirty ones! There is air con throughout and heating if required – we went before any heat had shown its face in the UK and it was lovely to be warm! We did not use the air con at all! There is also UK TV and Wi Fi – wonderful! The outside eating area table is just outside the kitchen door and we had many meals out there – again I love being able to just step outside with my plate and enjoy the air! Less than 5 mins walk away is the beach and a mini supermarket which sells all you need – a bigger one is 5 mins away by car! The area is lovely – we used it as a base for walking- and it was perfect! The pool is heated and we used it every evening to relax in! One end is designated as the seating area for L’Olivier and the other end for the upstairs apartment! The system works. This place is so good – I could have lived there – it was just a home from home in every sense of the word! There was nothing that I suddenly needed – like cool bags – that were not available! I would go back tomorrow if I could!
Beautiful house with beautiful garden
Beautiful house with beautiful garden with olive trees, lemon tree, orange tree and nice flowers. Very nice and clean swimming pool. Very good internet connection, air condition in every major rooms. Very well equipped kitchen. Extremely nice and helpful owners. Didier and Jaspa were amazing. They picked us up at the bus station late in the evening, drove us to Fréjus, picked up our friend at the airport and drove us all to the airport when we were leaving early Sunday morning. They also gave us food and drinks when we arrived late in the evening, and helped us getting tickets for Marineland which was very difficult. We all loved our holiday in the house, the children had a great time. We would really like to go back next year and can really recommend this house to everybody.
Brilliantly located apartment.
Brilliantly located apartment. The beach is a stone’s throw away and is sandy with lots of interesting rock pools for children to wade in and explore, but not too expansive so they’re not out of sight. The heated pool and terraced areas are lovely, very clean and are in the sun pretty much all day. The barbecue on the terrace was great. The apartment itself is quite homely but clean and well-equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery and lots of towels. We misunderstood the listing, and thought that the L’Olivier and La Palmier (apartment and ‘studio’ respectively) were interconnecting when in fact they are two separate apartments on the ground floor of the villa and there is also a second separately rented apartment upstairs. The ‘mezzanine’ in the studio is more like a loft space and the ceiling is really quite low up there. As a sleeping area it is probably most suitable for teenagers as the steps up are also quite steep. A floor plan on the listing would be helpful to see how the L’Olivier and La Palmier are laid out in relation to each other. The small Casino supermarket down the road is handy for any essentials needed. It is a little overpriced so it’s best to go to one of the larger supermarkets if you need more than just the basics. The small Catholic church is also only a short walk away. Didier and Jaspa were really great in finding out the mass times for us. It is only small and even though we got there 10 minutes before the service started and there wasn’t even standing room. Luckily there is also an outdoor chapel area with plenty of seating and loudspeakers through which you can hear the mass being said. For us, this was actually better as it was stiflingly hot in the church! Didier and Jaspa were lovely hosts, they met us on arrival and were very accommodating when we were sorting out sleeping arrangements in the flat. They also gave us advice during the week on local restaurants and attractions and also let us know about the ferries to St Tropez.

Nous avons très bien été accueillis par Didier et Jaspa, nous permettant de nous installer plus tôt que prévue. Ils sont extrêmement gentil et très amicaux. La villa était splendide, très propre et contenait tout les accessoires utiles et nécessaire notre confort. La piscine est parfaite, le soleil ne nous a pas fait faux bond un seul jour. Didier et Jaspa nous ont également conseiller pour les activités aux alentours .Un grand merci à eux qui nous ont même ramenés à la gare de st Raphaël. Semaine SUPERBE Merci 🙂

Logement parfait
Logement parfait, idéalement situé, bien insonorisé des bruits de la route, kidsfriendly (lits parapluie, chaises hautes, barrière aux escaliers). Très proche de la mer et des jolies balades de Boulouris 🙂 Didier et Jaspa sont des hôtes adorables, très prévenants et disponibles ! Mille mercis pour votre accueil !
Esattamente come promesso
Una bella casa, comoda e perfettamente arredata e corredata di tutto. Un giardino ampio ed ombreggiato. Una piscina ben tenuta con spazio adeguato. Il mare bellissimo a pochi passi. Nessun affollamento neppure a ferragosto. Ristoranti di qualità. Tutto, volendo, lasciando l’auto parcheggiata.
Comfortable, well-equipped apartment. Excellent location
Michelle was very helpful and responsive during the booking process and in dealing with our queries prior to arrival. We turned up 3 hours early but were still made welcome by Mme Porte. The apartment itself was, clean, comfortable and well equipped with plenty of facilities for the 6 of us. The location was excellent. We got the train from Nice airport. The apartment is a short walk from the station at Boulouris. We also used the train for visiting other places on the coast nearby. There are shops and small supermarkets within easy walking distance as well, so you do not need to hire a car, although it might be useful for exploring further afield. We had a problem with the hot water supply early on in the holiday but it was fixed within an hour of phoning, despite Mme Porte’s son Didier needing to call out a plumber. One minor concern was that the stairs up to the apartment were quite steep and we had an adventurous 2 year old who saw them as a challenge. It would have been useful to be able to close them off with a baby gate or something similar, although we managed quite satisfactorily with a couple of laundry baskets. as it happened.

Madam Porte was very welcoming on arrival and it was helpful to know that the family were close by if need be. The accommodation was spacious and all the home comforts included. The pool area was lovely, lots of space to relax and the pool itself was a hit with the family. Michelle Gill, Madam Porte’s daughter was helpful through the booking stages and any queries I had she was very approachable. I would certainly recommend Villa Na Mara – La Mer.
Outstanding Property
We stayed four weeks in this wonderful property. It was without question the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had and one of the most comfortably furnished apartments. The location is another bonus being right across the street from the sea. Michelle Gill, who does the booking on line, has been so patient and helpful with all of our questions and we have appreciated this so much. Her mother, Madame Porte, is charming and helpful and lives across the street from the house. She greeted us and is just delightful. It is a very well maintained property and was spotlessly clean. It’s completely as advertised and described on the websites. We have already booked for next year. Thank you Michelle and Madame Porte.
